Bumblebee Jasper is found almost exclusively in Indonesia, particularly near the active volcano Mount Papandayan in West Java. It forms in volcanic fumarole environments, where hot gases and mineral-rich fluids interact with limestone and other materials

Because it comes from a single known source and mining it is both dangerous and limited, Bumblebee Jasper is considered relatively rare. Its striking colours and limited availability make it highly sought after by collectors and crystal enthusiasts.
